Founded in 2009, Zingerman’s Candy Manufactory began with a belief: if you’re going to make candy, make it right.
A part of the celebrated Zingerman’s Community of Businesses in Ann Arbor, Michigan, we’re a manufactory in the old-fashioned sense—a place where something is made by hand! Our tiny team makes all of our classic treats by hand, in small batches, without any shortcuts or unpronounceable ingredients.
Craft confections can be every bit as complex and elevated as fine wine, artisan cheese, or estate olive oil—we believe you can taste the difference in every bite.
Production Manager Jamie LeBoeuf brings deep experience as a trained chocolatier, global traveler, and founder of her own artisan chocolate studio. Her path—from apprenticeship to international chocolate production to returning home to Michigan—reflects the Candy Manufactory’s blend of tradition and exploration. Zingerman’s Candy carries forward founder Charlie Frank’s legacy of creating exceptional-tasting candy bars and brittles and sharing the joy of candy.
Our retail candy store is located just steps away from our production facility, so a candy bar can be in your hand almost instantly after we hand-package it. Our Candy store features a full selection of our own Zingerman’s Candy Manufactory-made confections as well as an ever-evolving, curated collection of craft chocolate bars, licorice, caramels, hard candies, gummies, marzipan, chocolate bonbons, seasonal specialties, and more! It’s the sweet spot for everyday indulgences and unforgettable gifts for holidays, events, and special occasions. And if you’re not sure where to start, our confectionery consultants would love to help you shop for your next favorite treat.
Find us tucked inside the Zingerman's Coffee Company building, located in the Zingerman's Southside shopping district. In addition to our retail store, our confections are proudly available for purchase at all Zingerman's locations. You can also find our products in specialty food and grocery stores around the country, and we ship through Zingerman's Mail Order!
